Vertical shaft agitator


	Specially designed for digesters fed with energy crops, the AAT vertical shaft agitator has been in operation since 2003. Digester size up to 3.000 m³ and feed dry solids content up to 25 % present no difficulty for this agitator. It is applied in digesters with a low height / diameter ratio.


	The AAT-Agitator ensures optimal and homgenous digester sludge mixing. Sedimentation and formation of scum layers are prevented.


	Drive: 11.0 - 18.5 kW RPM: max.15 rpm, controlled by frequency converter Shaft: Ø 220 x 8 mm Blade: 4 pieces, Ø 4,0m

	Shaft seal:
	gas tight labyrinth seal with water trap

	2 pieces optimised agitator blades:
	one blade with 4 m diameter near the tank floor to suspend sediments, plus another near the tank top for back mixing of floating material

	Mild steel epoxy coated (3 layers)

	Robust bearing support
	with swivel-joint roller bearing including automatic lubrication

	Robust jaw clutch

	Planetary gear (extra robust design)

The AAT Vertical Shaft Agitator creates a circular as well as up and downward flow pattern. This ensures optimal back mixing of floating material, suspension of sediment and mixing of the digester content.

Digester feed mixes quickly with the digester bulk liquid creating ideal conditions for fermenting bacteria.

Mixing intensity is controlled and optimised by a variable speed drive thereby reducing electrical power demand to a minimum.

Suitable for all digestible organic substrates.
