The largest biogas plant in canton Aargau in Nesselnbach is running at full capacity since December 2011. On the 5000 square meter large area of the Recycling Energie AG in Nesselnbach there will be produced currently 24 MW electrical power per day. From February 2012 on the plant will be equipped with 2 motors and will produce then 38 MW electrical power per day.

The plant is designed for 30,000 tons of food waste, 5,000 tons of bio waste and 7,000 tons of pig manure per annum.
